Situated on a plateau overlooking the southern part of the Gulf of St. Euphemia and the province, Vibo Valentia town still retains many vestiges of its long history: the Greek walls, the remains of two temples, one ion and the other Doric , the ancient castle Normano-Swabian, built in a splendid panoramic position, which since 1994 houses the State Archaeological Museum, in which are preserved relics of exceptional historical value.

Also visit the Cathedral of St. Leoluca in Baroque style, the fourteenth-century church of the Rosary and that, from the Renaissance, St. Michael. Many other churches, palaces, villas with trees etc. call now for a long time the attention of many visitors.
